When we bought our house last March, the property was completely overgrown with huge trees and crazy scraggly giant bushes. There is a porch on the front of the house that you could not see from the street (you could barely see any of the house, it was so bad. One of the neighbors told us they used to call it the Adam's Family house Chat Icon ). We had all of the bushes removed and most of the trees, so now we are left with a blank slate. I want to plant some kind of bushes in front of the porch, but nothing that is going to grow too big. I know anything can be kept in check with regular trimming, but I would prefer something that is generally on the smaller side so that we don't have to worry about it getting much higher than the porch. The porch is about 3 ft up from the ground level. Any ideas on what I can plant there?
