So, DH and I have seen the people at the registers scan similar items (like lets say the wall letters) multiple times instead of scanning them individually. DH actually had the clerk delete and rescan the proper way...not to be a PITA, but just in case we needed to return something.

So yesterday I had my shower and noticed that they must have done this with some of my registry items because some things bought did not come off my registry if they were similar to another item someone bought (i.e. washclothes). It was not too much of an issue, but can result in duplicate items being bought, plus if anyone needs to return something, the item is not on the gift receipt.

My point is just be careful, and try to advise the clerks not to do this if you see them do this on your purchases. I lucked out and did not get any duplicates this way, nor do I think I will have to return anything, but you never know.
