Small firework displays this weekend?
Does anyone know of or have plans to attend any of the "smaller" firework displays this weekend?
We really don't want to go to the Macys or even the Jones Beach shows this year.

I see them every year in Northport - well, they are off in the distance lol so they are being set off someplace else but I can see them nicely.

I'm not sure where you live but they do a nice show in Massapequa Park on the 3rd.

East Islip Fireman's fair has Grucci fireworks on the 4th.
There will also be fireworks at the LI Ducks games on both Friday and Saturday (and I think Thursday too).

We're doing the hospital tour at Stony Brook then we're probably headed into Port Jeff for some ice cream and the fireworks show. Should be nice!

I used to watch them from the beaches on the North Shore. They set them off in Connecticut.
Even with bug spray & a blanket, it was romantic.

if you go to crab meadow beach in northport, you can see all the CT shows up and down the coast which is great.
the huntington crescent club also has a show which you can see from a number of different places. my parent live on a ridge just south of 25A, so we can see that display from the end of the street!
