Re: SLR USERS
I have been using the Aperture Priority mode when I use mine. Haven't posted any pictures lately though

use can use the sports/action setting (not sure what camera you have or if you have the same running person symbol ), or you can shoot in Shutter priority mode.
Auto is fine too, the camera will adjust all the settings based on how you are shooting. I NEVER got good indoor pictures because of lighting issues until I got an external flash. Made a HUGE difference.

Re: SLR USERS
I posted more above in my other post.... I don't know a thing about the Rebel, so I am probably not much help.... I am *just* learning to use my camera and I've had it for 2.5 years!

Re: SLR USERS
I'm still on auto. But I'm venturing into manual. And I like it! But I have a long way to go.

Re: SLR USERS
Auto or Aperture priority.
One thing I found helpful was to keep my camera on continous shooting so I can shoot a few in a row in case they blink, move, etc.

Re: SLR USERS
I've used Auto and the child mode. I love the continuous shooting mode (aka Burst) but it only works when the flash is off.
I have MAJOR lighting issues in my house but outside on an overcast day is AWESOME
