Slightly overwhelmed..but excited
So I just got my delivery of meds.... have to say I am slightly overwhelmed and excited at the same time. I did notice however that nothing came with instructions, will my nurse tell me when and where to inject? Also I apparently am supposed to do only a couple of injections ( Micro IVF) but I got a boat load of needles!! anyone know why?

At my RE they actually had DH and I take a class and showed us how to prep all shots and how to administer them. Not sure if this is standard everywhere.
When I got my box they sent it with extra needles. I'm assuming its just a precautionary measure.
Good luck!

Re: Slightly overwhelmed..but excited
Some places require you to take classes. At other places, the nurse will show you at your first appointment. There are so many videos on youtube, you will be fine.
At first, it seems overwhelming, but it will easily become old hat quickly.
Best of luck!

It is overwhelming but you will figure it out. I'm on day 5 of stims for IVF #1. Its not great but not terrible. You can totally do it. It will be worth it in the end! Whats the difference between IVf and Micro IVF? Stimming less I assume? Anything else? GL

GL!
I'm on day 6 of stims, and I won't lie I hate it... but it DOES get easier. The first time took me like over an hour, now the whole thing is over in 20 minutes. You get so used to it.
The big box of meds gave me a panic attack, but your RE will walk you through it step by step and it won't be so bad. It's all for a great cause!

Re: Slightly overwhelmed..but excited
I got a whole bunch of extra needles too but never needed all of the ones that came in the box.. Guess it depends on the dosage- if you have a small dosage you might end up using all the needles
