sleeping positions

I am 30 weeks, and i am having a HORRIBLE time sleeping on my either side. I had bronchitis and pulled some muscles and it's painful to sleep on my left side (to the point where it hurts, so i cant). I can sleep on my right side a little bit, but halfway through the night i have to almost sleep upright.

How bad is it this???

Re: sleeping positions

Do you have a body pillow? I bought one and it has made it more comfortable for me to sleep.

Re: sleeping positions

Definately get some kind of pillow or something to lay on. This is what I use because the big pillow was just too much for me and made me feel suffocated lol, but this has been great - I just position it directly under my belly and it has made side sleeping a lot easier. I think during the night I'll randomly also sleep on my back but I don't have control over that so when I realize I am I turn to the side.

sleeping positions

I just sleep on my back, the baby usually hits me if I try to sleep on my side. He really doesn't like it - hits the side I am lying on
I have 2 pillows under my main pillow. Main pillow I position instead of wide, length wise. I did feel better once I bought a memory foam pillow (main pillow).
so sleeping on an incline helps

Re: sleeping positions

I have the snoogle body pillow with i love, and I keep a regular pillow under my belly so that helps.

The problem is that i pulled a muscle in my rib cage and i literally cant lie on my left side. (It actually feels like i was punched in the side - not that i have even been punched, but i imagine that's what it feels like! lol). I cant put pressure on the left side, and sleeping on the right is OK, but not great. And anytime i move during the night it feels like i re-injure myself. it's pretty awful.

I did something similar last month to my right side - sleeping on my back helped a lot...sleeping on an incline is fine...just important to get sleep
