Sleep woes - 6 month old. Help!

I need some advice! My almost-6 month old WAS giving me a 9 hour stretch of sleep overnight in her bassinet or crib since 2 mos. old. She is now waking up around 4am every day, hungry. I think it's part of a growth spurt, but my concern is that after eating, she can't settle down again in the crib (even if she falls asleep in my arms-she wakes with the transfer) and wil only fall back asleep in the swing. Same goes for naps. It's like she needs to be curled up.

I don't want to perpetuate this habit, and I really need to get this swing out of here at some point soon. Any thoughts on how to get her to do these shorter stretches in the crib? I would be forever grateful!

Ugh. My 5 month old is starting to do this to me as well. Used to go 7-8 hours...then gradually went to 6-7 hours...and now lately is up almost every 4 hours at night Chat Icon I really have no advice obviously...hopefully someone else here does!

MY DS sleep schedule changed constantly. Growth, learning something new, teeth always changed it.

I have no advice other than leaning to roll with it. It sucks, but most times it will resolve itself- and then change again before you know it.

If she wasn't hungry before, she likely isn't now, unless it is a growth spurt, which would only be temporary. I may be the 4 month sleep regression, though. Check out this website for more info.

ETA: It is possible she's hungry, though. I'd bump up solids during the day and see if that helps, too.

Does your DD use a noise machine?
My DD sleeps 8pm to about 5am and then starts stirring. I put on the "rain" sound and she settles down and is out for 2 more hours. I don't know what it is but it knocks her out.
