I posted a lil over a week ago that my 2 1/2yo suddenly started hating her crib. As the nights went on I seemed to think it was more of a sleep separation thing because she was ok with me laying on the floor next to her until she fell asleep. However she would still get up several times per night. I must have repeated that process over 5 times throughout the night a few days ago. In the end we would end up taking her on the couch to sleep with either me or DH or sadly our bed. But we have all been getting no sleep since she started this and she knows she is only truly comfortable in her own bed.

So today we converted her crib into a toddler bed. She took a nap in there this afternoon ( with me laying on the floor until she fell asleep). We put up a gate in her doorway this evening.

She just went to bed for the night (me next to her). I know she is going to wake up in the next couple of hours. What do you suggest I do? Do I let her CIO at the gate? Do I go in put her back in bed, close the gate and repeat until she goes to sleep? Or should I just sit on the floor in her room where she only sees my profile and do not say anything? I'm so nervous for when she wakes up. I'm not sure which method will be most effective. TIA !
