sleep advice crib/swing
DS is almost 5 months. for the first 3 months or so, he slept ok- in a bassinett, was sleeping from 7 pm-3 am straihgt, nurse, then slept till 6. since we moved ot a crib, its been worse and worse. he is now getting up every 2-3 hours, and is impossible to settle at night- he sleeps with a paci and cries when he loses it. he has reflux too, on meds, btu still a crankpot (but i still love him). anyhow, i discovered if i let him sleep in a swing at night he will sleep ALL NIGHT- literally from 7- pm to 5 am straight. swing on, of course. so- would you let him sleep in the swing for the next 4-6 weeks? i plan on cio aroudn 6 months, once hes on solids. strapped in, and swing near my room. my 2 big concerns- that this will be a very tough habit to break, and worried about his head- its slightly flat now, ped not worried at all, says it will round out. but i'm worried swing will make it worse. ut i am losing my mind without sleep.

Re: sleep advice crib/swing
DS wouldn't sleep in the crib. He slept in our arms for a long time. He started to take 1 long nap in the swing, but wouldn't sleep in there at night. Eventually, we could transfer him to the swing after he woke up in the middle of the night. That was our one long stretch of sleep each night for months. I think we stopped using the swing around 6-6.5 months. He started STTN at 7 months though it was still in our bed. We were able to successfully transition him to the crib at 10 months.

Re: sleep advice crib/swing
ds reverted backwards with sttn around 4 months and didnt go back to sttn until he was alittle over 6 months.... i eventually had to start cio at 5 months because i was losing my mind... have you tried a crib wedge to slightly elevate the torso?? that helped with ds greatly...
