skin safe ink for baby's prints

I was thinking about how I'd love to do baby's hand & foot prints within that first week just as a keepsake. But I know that regular ink pads aren't really the best for that - considering they don't wipe off as easy and I don't even know how safe it would be for a newborn's skin in general.

Anybody know of anything good to use for this? And where I could get it from?

I got a type where the ink is on the other side, not the side you put the foot/hand on. Worked great! No mess! Check at the baby store. I got ours at bru.

I was thinking of doing the same thing.

I didn't realize the regular ink wasn't good for it.

Hmm.... guess I need this info as well. I hope someone knows the answer....
