My DH loves to snowboard. He always goes with friends etc. Ive never been on a trip with him bc im terrified of heights and cant imagine getting on the slopes.

Can anyone recommend a place I can take him where there is shopping, etc, nightlife for me, and good boarding for him? THanks!!

There are outlets near Stratton, VT, (in Manchester). I've done ski long weekends with girlfriends where we stayed at the Equinox Resort & Spa in Manchester, VT. We ski at Stratton, shop at the outlets and do a spa day with massages, etc. There's also an indoor pool - I love it there.

ETA: Bromley is also very close by. Killington and Okemo are a little further away, but not too far.

I love Okemo and Stratton for a weekend. If you have more time I like Stowe and Sugar Bush is great too, but both are further up there. I've never been, but have always wanted to ski Mount Tremblant in Canada too.

tremblant is beautiful and has a nice viallage with nice shops - there is also a great hot cold spa- but as an avid skier i won't go there in feb or jan - i go in march - otherwise it is freezing

stratton area is another good spot because of the outlets

i would also reccomend taking a lesson -starting on the baby hill - i am very scared of heights but i love to ski - don't love chairlifts - so i always sit on the side
