Sitting up in crib/Sleeping issues...help!!!

So I was so excited when DD started sitting up on her own last week...but I didn't realize that this would make sleeping so much more difficult!!! Ughhh....napping has been a struggle and so has putting her down at night. I usually nurse her before a nap and bedtime....put her in her crib sleepy...and within minutes she passes out. NOW she sits herself up and either starts playing with her crib toys (which I have now taken away) or starts crying hysterically trying to get herself up in a standing position


Is this a phase...is she just testing her new skill? Or am I doomed!!! It took me an hour to put her down tonight! Help!

Definitely a phase and it will get better. My DS would even practice sitting up in the middle of the night and then would be so sleepy that we would just fall over. We too would put him in the crib and he'd practice until he fell asleep/passed out.

Oh good! That's great to hear! DD has actually fallen over too! It was pretty cute and funny watching it from the monitor.
