sitting up/going to tummy

when did your db start to sit themsleves up? i dont mean sitting up, i mean get themselves to a sitting position.
dd is going to be 9 months next week, she cannot do this. she also has a lot of trouble going from sitting to tummy - she mostly just leans foward, will sometimes tumble onto tummy, but not usually. i'm getting a little worried. oh, btw, she does creep/army crwal

Re: sittint up/going to tummy

my first son was not able to get into a sitting position until after he was cruising and standing on his own - it just wasn't a priority (9/10 months)

#2 did it at about 6 months

my nephew army crawled/creeped until 12-13 months

Kaitee learned it about 1 week after she could crawl. She was 6 months old.

DD *just* started doing this a couple of weeks ago -- so she was 9 1/2 (closer to 10) months old.

rocco put himself in a sitting position once on our bed - i think he used the comforter to pull himself up he was 5.5 mos - he sits up on his own really well, but can't put himself up without pulling himself on something nearby

Re: sitting up/going to tummy

DD is 8.5 months and doesn't do that either. I asked her Dr. last week (we had a well visit) and he said it was fine. As long as they are doing some of the other things. For example-DD claps hands (she was ahead for this), she rolls over and can hold the seated position, etc. All good stuff so not being able to get into a seating position is not an issue. It's a combination of missing milestones that can be an indication. Good luckChat Icon
