Sippy Cups- When to start?
When did you start using sippy cups with your dc?
What do you give your dc to drink besides formula?
I feel totally clueless! =/
My dd is 9 months...

Sippy Cups- When to start?
I started around 7-8 months. We use a nuby sippy with the soft plastic spout. I've only given her apple juice in it. And she only gets it during meals. Formula is still always in a bottle.

Our ped told us to start at 6 months. My twins liked the playtex lil gripper straw cups. Easy to hold. We put juice and water in the cups. Took awhile for them to get used to it. At 13 months we stopped bottles and only used sippy cups and they were fine.

Sippy Cups- When to start?
We started introducing the straw cup at 6/7 months to our boys. We let them practice with it several times a week at least. It wasn't till about 10/11 months when they actually got it. We only put water in it until they were drinking milk at a year. Now, we only put water or milk.

Sippy Cups- When to start?
I started with water in the little gripper straw cup at 6the months old. I never used spout sippy cups at all. From 6 months to almost one year old it was straw for water, bottle for formula. When I started to transition to milk I also transitioned to straw cups for milk. I didn't give juice until almost 20 months. Back then and still now I cut it 50/50 with water

Started at around 5.5 months with a sippy cup. Decided to use straw cups instead at 6 months. He got the hang of it really quickly. At the age he only got water. Nowadays, (almost 14 months) he gets either water or his milk in his straw cup. He hasn't really ever had juice (with the exception of diluted prune juice 2 x when constipated).

We just got the papers from the ped last week and it said give a few oz of water per day at 6 mo from sippy cup
