Singing on the LIRR

Very loudly, badly and so far off key I think every dog in a 5 mile radius is howling.

That would totally annoy me! Even if it was on key, after 2 minutes I don't want to hear it - and if I do, it would be on my headphones, not for the whole train to hear

Re: Singing on the LIRR

So last week I was on this epic journey home from Citifield- just missed the connecting train in Woodside, had to stand on the packed platform in Woodside for almost an hour, jumped on a train to Jamaica, had to waited on a packed platform at Jamaica for the train to Ronkonkoma

Finally get on the train to Ronkonkoma and it's packed - standing room only. I luckily got one of those pull down seats near the doors. I was tired, sweaty, cranky.

A bunch of teenage girls from the Shawn Mendes concert are standing near me and some high school guys sitting behind me start asking them where they are coming from . They say the Shawn Mendes concert. The guys ask them what does Shawn Mendes sing? They proceed to start singing at the top of their lungs. Then the guys join in. Now everyone is SCREAMING songs. Not singing. SCREAMING. Standing up, screaming, the guys ripping their shirts off. Disorderly is not even the word
The whole train is turning around, giving dirty looks etc

There are 2 MTA cops riding the train, standing by the doors, a foot from where this is all going down. They do and say absolutely nothing. Finally we stop in Mineola and the cops step off the train for a second then come back on and tell them they have to be quiet. That they are getting complaints and there are other paying passengers on the train who it isn't fair to.
I thanked the cop for finally shutting these a-holes up
What a nightmare that ride was

Re: Singing on the LIRR

LOL, this happened on a very empty train from Hunterspoint to Great Neck.
There were 5 people in the entire car. I guess she thought she was alone.

It started quietly, then got progressively louder. Thankfully by the time we reached Woodside, it stopped as a few more people got on.

All in all, public commuting sucks.
