Silver linings
I try to have some uplifting threads once in a while, so I thought I'd start a thread on "silver linings".
What is a good spin on something you don't really like?
I don't like winter, but the silver lining is that all of the mosquitoes are gone, and the bamboo is currently not growing in my yard...

The silver lining is that the days are getting a minute longer each day and we are getting closer to spring!

I saw the most amazing sunrise yesterday, while on my way to the train. Got a picture of it too.
This morning the air was nice and fresh, told DH to open the windows to air out the house.

I paid the maintenance bill for my timeshare yesterday, and the countdown calendar said 179 days to my arrival at out paradise.

I noticed that yesterday too- I looked out my back door and was like wow! The sky looked incredible yesterday morning

I booked a vacation for us and it's not as long as I wanted because we can't leave until Monday because of DH's job. We also have to be home on the following Friday because of his job (he can only get off one weekend) - BUT since I work Mon-Friday, I have the weekend before we leave to pack, get a mani/pedi, etc., and then I have the weekend we get home to get over jetlag and unpack, do laundry, etc., before heading back to work.

I'm about to start busy season with extended hours and 6-day workweeks which suckkkksss but, *silver lining*, it'll give me less time to think/be anxious about personal stuff and the busy season bonus will also be very welcome.

Maternity leave ends soon but that means I can start saving more so we can hopefully start looking for a bigger house

With Bozo in charge, it will be easy to figure out what stocks to buy and sell. Exxon is obviously going to have a record year, as will Goldman Sachs. CNN, not so much...
