Silly question re: new cell phone
My phone is on its last leg (iPhone 5) and I need to get a newer one ASAP. Probably going to get another iPhone.
My question - what happens to voicemail messages I have saved? Do I lose them?
It must sound silly, but I have voicemails save from my grandmother who passed away and I could never bring myself to delete them.

me too, I have vm on the answering machine at home I cant erase.
No advice, just I can relate.

I think your VM's are saved to your account, not your actual phone.

Your VMs will come with you. I just got a new phone and everything was still there.

Yes, as long as you backup your old phone to the cloud then the new phone will have everything on it
Make sure you backup before you get rid of your old phone

This! I just got a new iphone a couple of days ago after I shattered my phone It was the 5, so I was due. If your phone is up to date with being backed up, they will do it in store. Mine was not, so after I got my phone, had to back up old one through Itunes and then transfer everything to new phone. I had voicemails and texts I didn't want to lose, and they are all there.

Silly question re: new cell phone
you can also download a program to transfer them to your computer - i've used imazing to save voicemails and text messages. im a voicemail hoarder.
