Silly question about painting
Is it really necessary to sand the walls before you paint? We're going to be going from pretty darm colors to light colors. Will the paint with primer already in it work for that or should we prime separately?

I don't sand the walls before painting and I use a separate primer. I've never tried the paint with the primer in it so I don't know how well that works.

we didn't sand any walls, unless we were trying to smooth a chip in the paint or wallpaper before we painted. we also used the paint with primer in it and it worked fine over the already light colored walls!
