Silly question about glucose test
i keep reading posts on this...what exactly is this? when is it done?

It is the test to determine if you have gestational diabetes. You take the one hour test at about 25-28 weeks or so. You drink a drink and they take your blood both before and after.
If you fail the one hour test ( A LOT of people do), then you take the three hour test where you drink a drink and have your blood taken before, then every hour for three hours.
If you fail the one hour, you are put on a gestational diabetes diet and most people meet with a nutritionist.

thank you so much! is there a way to pretty much make sure you pass? is there certain things to eat etc

I think if you have it, you have it. And honestly, it is better that it is diagnosed so it can be treated.
I had hypermesis when I was pregnant and barely ate anything (I only gained 3lbs total) and I still came close enough to failing the one hour that I had to take the three hour.
