Silly Hospital Bag Question
Ok- so I made my list of what I want to pack in my hospital bag but here's my dumb question... I would say 80-90% of the stuff is things that I use everyday (makeup, deoderant, shampoo, even the lounge pants I plan on bringing).
What did/do you girls plan on handling this? Are you buying doubles? Or taking/replacing these things daily?
TIA!!

Re: Silly Hospital Bag Question
I'm planning to buy cheap travel size stuff. I figure even if I don't use it, it's good to have for when we do go away or if I run out of shampoo or something and forget to buy more.

Re: Silly Hospital Bag Question
I went to target and got travel size everything. I also had a night gown and robe that I don't wear usually. The lounge pants I just packed and dealt with not having them around for a few weeks. I didn't pack last time till about 37 weeks and plan to do the same this time. Just pack your makeup last minute. You usually have plenty of time with your first. I went into labor at 630am and had time to take a shower, blow dry hair and pack last minute items. I didn't go to hospital till 12pm, and I still was almost sent home. My contractions where 5 minutes apart and I was about 4-5cm when I got there. They really want you in pain when you get there. Contractions you can't talk through.

Re: Silly Hospital Bag Question
doubles.... you will eventually run out of the stuff in your house and buy more anyways....
as for clothes doubles is best too cause what if you wear your 2-3 pairs of lounge pants then you go into labor?

Re: Silly Hospital Bag Question
I just packed this weekend and I also got travel sized everything for toiletries and then for make up, I bought myself new stuff to use for now and threw the almost finished mascara and powder in my bag. For clothes, I'll probably just go buy a new pair of lounge pants to pack, I'd like to keep wearing my current ones up til the end because they're so comfy! I also bought a 6 pack of undies from target to pack. Happy packing!

Re: Silly Hospital Bag Question
I packed the things I didnt need and those things I used everyday I threw in after my water broke and I also gave DH a list of things to bring back. I was in my hospital gown for the first 24hrs so DH was able to run home after the birth to get me things.
