Silly furniture question
If your DC "took over" an already furnished room, who moved that furniture? DS took over our office so DH and my dad moved the desk and rolling filing cabinets to the room next door. This baby is going to be taking over that room which has a queen size bed, dresser, desk, filing cabinets and 2 small book cases. They have to move all this furniture down to the basement! Do we have to hire movers for this? The stuff is really heavy!!!

Does DH (or you) have any big strong friends that can be bribed with some pizza and beer? That's usually how things like that get done...

We do but I hate having to ask friends todo that! I guess I can have DH, my dad and BILs also over to do it. I can easily bribe them

Felice...when we did our home renovations, we hired movers to bring our bedroom furniture from the 1st floor to the 2nd floor and to move the entertainment center from one side of the living room to the other.
Once the furniture got upstairs, I HATED the way it looked. We called the movers to come back the next day, and move it from upstairs to outside by the curb (someone took it). Then I bought new furniture.
We didn't have any "friends" to ask for help...so it was a really expensive move that was useless because then I went out and bought new furniture

DH and his brother moved everything around. Actually DH just moved our very very heavy buffet server himself. I would not hire movers for it. I would just get a bunch of friends or family over to help
