kitchen- unless you are selling- then siding- for curb appeal
but if you aren't selling- I would get alot more joy out of a new kitchen!

if you will be happiest walking past your old siding to go into your new kitchen, do the kitchen first...
or,
if nothing will cheer you up inside the house until the outside is what you want, do the siding first.
ME...I would do the siding first..b/c I hate it. I'll cook anywhere.
AND, since I want my kitche SUPER FAB, I'd need it to be the last renovation I do for a long time.

Siding. If it's really old, the new insulation will also help with your heating bills this winter.

We had siding done first and then kitchen but I probably would have done the kitchen first if I had the option.

This is what I was going to say as well. Tough choice, I would hate to have an outdated kitchen because I love cooking and spend a lot of time there.

Kitchen for a couple of reasons. First, you use it everyday. Second as my contractor says "you live inside the house". Plus a kitchen will bring up the value of your home more than the siding.

The kitchen is for you, the siding is for the neighbors, for the most part, so I would work on the kitchen first.
