Side sleeper and diaper leakage help!
DS sleeps on his side. Even when we put him on his back, he pushes himself onto his side. We've tried 5 different brands of diaper now, and he leaks through them all during his sleep out the side. Is there a miracle diaper for this or any other ideas to stop having to change his clothes after every sleep?

I was having the same problem but he was wetting out the top of the diaper. The only thing that helped was wearing a diaper doubler at night.

Re: Side sleeper and diaper leakage help!
I switched to huggies overnights - one size up from their normal size.

He's only 2.5 weeks old. What's a doubler?

Re: Side sleeper and diaper leakage help!
Maybe you need to go a size up. Also, does he sleep with a onesie on? I know that DD slept a couple of times without a onesie and her diaper shifted down her butt when she was moving around and she woke up a couple of times with a leak. I think the onesie helps keep the diaper in place.
Also, did you try Luvs?

Re: Side sleeper and diaper leakage help!
I just bought one size up and he stopped leaking. He just a couple pounds shy of that stage.

Re: Side sleeper and diaper leakage help!
Huggies, Luvs, White Cloud and CVS are all big on him in the newborn size. The Pampers actually seem to fit the best, but I still have that problem. I have size 1 pampers too and after reading your suggestions pulled them out to see if one size bigger made a difference. They're HUGE!!! Did you put your DC in a diaper that was huge anyway and let them grow into it because it stopped the leaks? I would think he's gonna leak more in this thing. And yes, he sleeps in a onsie and Luvs were the worst on him.

A doubler is a big pad that goes in their diaper. It looks like a huge maxi pad. Anyway, it's extra absorbent so it cuts down on leaks. I don't love them but they work great for my DD.

How much does your DC weigh? Emma is 3 weeks old, weighs about 6lbs 6 ozs now and the size 1's are a bit big, but you just have to make them snug. I would try the size 1's and see what happens.

Re: Side sleeper and diaper leakage help!
He's 7-9. It just looks like there's so much extra between his legs and he'd be so uncomfortable. Plus the top of the diaper comes to mid-torso and he just looks ridiculous in his clothes--like we stuffed his butt.
