Side effects of a D & C
After the procedure is it normal for your stomach to swell. I feel as though I have ALOT of air trapped in my stomach. Sometimes to the point that it is VERY uncomfortable and I either need to burp or pass gas. I go back to the Dr. on the 4th. I hope this is temporary

I didn't have any side effects but that's just me -- can you speak to your Dr.?

Yes, totally normal. In order for the D&C to be performed, they pump oxygen (and other gasses) into your uterus so it expands. It will definitely go down in a few days.

Totally normal....just try to stay hydrated and make sure that you are urinating. Bleeding can linger on for about 2 weeks. I am so sorry that you had to go through this!

actually,I havent had any bleeding as yet. Just after the procedure I was spotting a little. But since then there has been nothing. I keep checking so as to not get caught out there with out a pad.

If I remember correctly, it took a day or 2 for the bleeding to start. It wasn't too heavy, just a light pad was needed.
