Shower question
I am due July 2. We are going to have the shower on April 28, which is 9 weeks before I am due. We just felt that with DD's birthday in July, and other family member's birthdays and vacations in May and June, that APril 28 would work for most people. Do you think thats too early? My MIL made it seem like she thought it was too early.

It's early, but if it is when it works for everyone, then so be it.
I have the opposite problem, my shower is when I am 37 weeks and change and it is b/c everyone is too busy before that.

I think it's a great time. It's before vacation, wedding, graduation season and it will still be early enough that the weather is cool and you will feel comfortable.

I was in a slightly different situation b/c i was carrying twins, but I had my shower @ 30 weeks. It was tough w/ summer plans and such to get it together... and I gave birth 3 1/2 weeks later

My MIL made it seem like May 19th was to early for mine. But my mom is throwing it so its whatever she wants to do. So i think its a great time.

Mine is a surprise but I think my mom was looking for end of april beginning of May - she did that so that I won't be too big and uncomfortable to have a good time. I am due just before you 6/30

I dont think thats to early, it give you enough time to sort through what you have, get what you still need, set everything up, and learn how to use it, and hopefully still rest before the baby comes. I hope my shower will be about 7 weeks before my dd.

I think that's the perfect time. They made mine 8 1/2 weeks before my due date. I was thinking it will give us enough time to sort through everything, get whatever else we need and what if I deliver early? I wouldn't want to miss my shower!

I actually llike early showers. That way you won't have to scramble at the last minute to buy what you did not get at the shower.
You will have time to sort, wash, set everything.
