Shower Invite Question: Include color(s) of nursery?

My MIL is throwing a shower for us for her side of the family and has asked DH what color(s) we are painting the nursery because she wanted to include this on the shower invitation.

Is that common?

I've never heard of this before...and not to be a jerk but I don't really feel comfortable with other people picking out decor for our nursery...especially if most items can't be returned...

i've never seen that before and honestly, i don't know how i'd feel SEEING it.... i'd likely be like, okay, her colors are brown and pink....now ask me why i care?

THANK YOU BOTH!!!!!! I was beginning to think I was losing my mind!!!!!

ETA: I told DH to tell her that we were still undecided...the last thing I need is 25 hand knitted blankets in the colors of the nursery!

They actually have a Nursery Decor section at the top of everyone's BRU registry. But, i'm not sure if i'd put it on an invite in case you change your mind.
