shower ideas for those having a girl.

My BFF is having a girl and I am throwing the shower. She LOVES very girly things and she ADORES the color pink.

Do you have any ideas for themes that I could use? Favors? Decorations?

Any ideas would be appreciated because I want this to be the best shower ever - and if you have pics from your shower, I'd love to see them!!!

i planned my sister's shower and she had a girl. The theme was pink and brown, i had choco cupcakes with pink icing as the favors, the invites, menus and table cards were all pink with brown polka dots, pink decorations and hydrangea. Lots of ways to incorperate color without having an overly "themed" party...

I went to a relative's shower and it was adorable. Her sisters and mom made a lot of baskets, got a cute toy chest, but the cutest was a little baby closet they made. I think it was a cardboard box wrapped in brown paper. The theme was baby winnie the pooh and each table had a plush with ballons as the centerpiece.

you could do a princess themed shower or a tea/mad hatter party.

princess:
- pink, silver and white decorations
- crown/tiara centerpieces with pink and white flowers with petals and votives on the table
- have a "dress line" where everyone (or a select few) are asked to bring a party dress (varies sizes) instead of cards.
- favors could be something a little sweet like a crown shaped cookie or a pack/box of truffles or rochers. There is an adorable dress favor bag I found but they are pricey. link



tea/mad hatter party
- white, light pink, dark pink decorations
- everyone is required to wear a hat
- serve teas and over "tea party" things
- centerpieces could be plants in white/shabby chic pots with pink flowers/ribbons
- favors could be a tea bag set

pink flowers with pink bunny, teddy bear, doggie, my first doll as center pieces so she will have one of each of them to take home
book wishing well
for favors personalized cookies or chocolates are popular in the shape of the baby animals with her name and shower date on them
cake with the baby animals on them
