Should I worry?

Hi ladies,

I could really use some advice. I am 18 wks 5 days and I haven't felt any movement yet. People keep asking me if I feel the baby and they give me a funny look when I tell them no. I wasn't concerned because I have read that you usually feel movement between 18-22 weeks.

If you girls could reassure me that I have no reason to panic I would really appreciate it. I had a m/c in December and I have a tendency to be paranoid about every little thing. I know I don't post much but I am a frequent lurker and I know how supportive and knowledgeable you all can be.

Re: Should I worry?

Its normal...my girlfriend didn't feel anything until 23 weeks.

Sometimes it can depend on where the placenta is. If its in the front, your less likely to feel movement early on. Don't worry! Chat Icon

Re: Should I worry?

My doc said that bc this is my first baby, I likely won't feel anything until about 20 weeks. I wouldn't worry!

Re: Should I worry?

Yep-depends on the placenta... You should feel it any day! You may be feeling it and not even realize it! Chat Icon For me, the first few weeks felt like goldfish.

I just had my Level II at 20 weeks 1 day. I could clearly see the baby moving on the monitor and couldn't feel a thing. Don't worry about it!! Chat Icon

I am 16 weeks and i went to the doc last week - he said that i am still way too early for movement. I asked a couple of girlfriends last week and they both said they felt nothing until 22 weeks.
