Should I worry???
Lately(the past 2 weeks) I wake up and I am laying on my back....I have been so good about sleeping on my side, but I dont know what it is...I am 31 weeks....is this ok? What can I do to prevent myself from doing this?? I do not have a snuggle...and at this point, I feel getting one, would be a waste....

Re: Should I worry???
I asked my doctor if sleeping on your back was ok and she said yes. I wouldnt worry about it as long as you arent always on your back. Enjoy your sleep!

Re: Should I worry???
I would not worry about it too much, but if you start to get swelling from it I would maybe try to prop up some pillows.....
I kept waking up on my back near the end. I am convinced that I intended to roll all the way over but got tired half-way through

Re: Should I worry???
You say that you wake up sometimes and you're on your back. By waking up, your body is signaling to you that you need to shift. I'm still waking up on my back sometimes and I'm 39 weeks.
Your body will tell you it's too uncomfortable LONG before you can do any damage.

Re: Should I worry???
I am 23 weeks and always wind up on my back at some point in the middle of the night just because the pressure points on my hips are throbbing and I can't stand side-sleeping anymore. I actually feel her kicking more on my back so I am assuming it would be okay, just not all the time.

Re: Should I worry???
Don't worry I think we've all done this. Lately I've taken to bracing a big pillow behind my back.

I've been doing my back a lot lately. DH is so thankful because it makes me snore real bad now.

Re: Should I worry???
Not to worry. My doctor said it was ok. It has been so uncomfortable for me to sleep on my side because I'm normally a back sleeper. Sometimes I would lie on my back just to ease the aches in my back and shoulder from sleeping on my side.

I agree with every word of this! Except I'm not quite 39 weeks

Re: Should I worry???
Don't worry unless you are uncomfy. I slept like that alot last pregnancy. I find myself (31 weeks as well) like that now too but this time it isn't as comfy so I am forced back to my sides.

Re: Should I worry???
i too sometimes wake up on my back and panic...but i read somewhere that its fine...if you wake up and find that you are on your back or tumm, not to panic, but just flip over to the side-preferably your left side.
