Should I take DS back to the Dr? - TMI warning
DS is 15m old. He was sent home from daycare Thursday with a 102 fever and I took him straight to the Dr. They checked his ears & throat, both were fine, and said it's a virus. By Saturday the fever broke but then diarrhea set in. So now we are starting day 3 of diarrhea, no fever. I noticed yesterday that he keeps bending over forward and holding his stomach like it hurts. This morning he woke up to a full blow out diaper, so bad that I had to give him a bath and wash everything. He's home today with DH and DH just told me he's noticing DS grabbing his stomach too.
He's not eating as much as usual but he is eating and drinking water. I know to try the BRAT diet but he's giving me a hard time with that. Should I take him back to the Dr? I'm afraid they're just going to give me the generic answer of "keep him hydrated, stick to the BRAT diet" which I'm already doing. WWYD? Thanks!

I would def just call to see what they say. Even they tell you that at least its some kind of reassurance... i hope he feels better soon... does he take a probiotic? If not def get him one.

No, I haven't tried a probiotic yet. I think I'll pick it up today and try it out. Thanks!

Re: Should I take DS back to the Dr? - TMI warning
As long as he's eating a bit and peeing a bunch and fever is gone, I would say wait it out. So much is based on how the child is acting as well...if he seems happy, or at least content and his eyes are shiny (sounds funny but when a baby starts dehydrating their eyes will lose shine/mouth will be dry). The probiotic is a good idea as well.
I think that if by tomorrow he isn't showing improvement with the diarrhea, I'd take him back in regardless of how he's acting. They may want to sample it to check. Good luck and hope he feels better!!

Since he looks like he is in pain - I would call.
Otherwise - I wouldn't because they would tell you what you already know.
DS 1 had a horrible stomach virus when he was 3 months old and basically, I learned that these bugs can last up to 10 days in small children.
Make sure he doesn't go more than 12 hrs without a wet diaper.
Hope he feels better and that you and DH don't get it.

I'd go to the doc to rule out appendicitis
