Should I switch to overnight diapers?
DS has always been ok overnight in regular diapers. If he ever leaked I would cover the regular diaper with a cloth diaper cover and then he would be ok- but he always slept on his back. The last couple nights he's been sleeping on his side and is wet by about 5am. Will an overnight diaper help this? It seems to leak through the side of the diaper where it fastens.

Yes, and it also helps to go up a size from what he wears during the day. As long as you can make it snug at the waist and the leg holes have no gaps, it's fine.

Re: Should I switch to overnight diapers?
DD started wetting through her diapers, at night, a few weeks ago. We switched to nighttime diapers and haven't had a problem since.

Switch to overnight & go up a size. Or use diaper doublers. They sell them at bru.

Re: Should I switch to overnight diapers?
I knew going up a size was good for leaking in general but if he stays on his back all night he won't leak. It's only because he's on his side. I guess it's worth a try.

Should I switch to overnight diapers?
We used pampers baby dry for DD in a size up and she doesn't leak thru even though she sleeps on her stomach and side all night for 10 hours or so.

I didn't like how stiff Huggies overnights. I went up a size in our normal diaper (luvs) and never had an issue since.

Switching to overnights helped us. I didn't think to go up in size though DD Is on the bottom end of the weight in the diapers we use during the day anyway and we use that same size for nighttime. We use Target brand during the day but used Huggies overnights. I actually tried pampers baby dry for overnights and she leaked through 3 of the 4 nights I used them... so we are back to huggies

Do you use cloth diapers regularly?

No I haven't been because I haave a lot in this size so I want to make sure I use them before he grows out of them. Why do you ask?

Re: Should I switch to overnight diapers?
I don't know if switching will help since the problem isn't really that the diaper is overflowing...rather, it is leaking out the leghole. I guess it doesn't hurt to try, but to me it doesn't seem like it will really help. Maybe a different brand diaper that just fits differently around the leg. Not sure which ones you're using right now, but maybe the Pampers Cruisers will flex a bit more?
