Should I skip the appetizers?
I am going to have a BBQ when my mom comes into town.
My mom's plane comes in at 2pm, which means she won't be by me until around 3pm if it comes in on time.
I was going to do some appetizers, chips, dips, veggies, etc.
Now I am thinking do I really need to do them? We would probably be eating around 5pm.

Whenever we fly in to see my MIL, she always those little pinwheel wraps and chips and cookies when we get to the house. It is always MUCH appreciated, even if dinner is a couple hours off, because a day of traveling is LONG and the little bag of plane peanuts don't cut.

Oh, my mom always carries a bunch of snacks in her bag because they give you basically nothing anymore.

Yes! Even if something simple like chips + dip. OR, you could make home-made salsa and guac with the fresh season veggies ;).

I also do TOO much so I got appetizer stuff today-lol!!
Mango Peach Salsa with Tostitos Scoops
Spinach Dip with Stacy's Pita Chips
Onion Dip (I made the Lipton kind) with Potato Chips/Flat Pretzels
Dinner:
Hotdogs
Hamburgers
Cheese and Basil Sausage
Loaded Potato Salad
Beans
Dessert:
Apple Pie
