Should I send something?
So the family I used to nanny for in NY, just sent me a HUGE box of their daughters clothes, pjs', dressses, bibs, burp clothes, shoes, jackets, I mean everything! All of the clothes are high end clothes, so I'm super appreciative!
Dh and I want to send the family something to thank them...we weren't expecting so much. What do you suggest? I was thinking an edible arrangement...but Im not sure if that's cheesy?

Re: Should I send something?
I think a card saying thank you is nice enough.. i dont think they expect to receive something in return. but if you really want to send something i think the edible arrangement is nice idea.. they make really cool ones.

Re: Should I send something?
I think just a heartfelt card, and maybe even a phone call is enough. Like the pp said, they're not expecting a gift in return for a gift.

I found some nice inexpensive gift baskets at giftbaskets.com that I sent to the nurses at the hospital when I had my cerclage they were nice if you want to send a gesture of thanks without going overboard

Re: Should I send something?
I think a nice thank you note should suffice. My sister-in-law in Europe sent us a huge box of her daughter's high-end and designer stuff, and we sent her a really nice thank you note. Sometimes if I feel an extra special thank-you is warranted, I might include one of those hand-made bookmarks from Borders (or similar store) inside the Thank you note. And I would use an individually bought thank you note, as opposed to a small one from a package.
Just my opinion! But lucky for you - enjoy your items!!!
