Should I let my 2 yr old sleep on the floor?

The past few nights DS has been getting out of his bed and going to sleep on his floor. I initially was putting him back in bed the first two nights but he kept waking up crying and then getting back out. Last night he did it again and I just left him there and he's still sleeping. I put a sleeping bag and king size down comforter with pillows there just in case he did it. Should I just let him sleep there and wait for him to outgrow it. Anyone elses DC do this?

Too funny - Erica was just telling me that Sydney would sleep on the floor in her room, and then in her own room...but she's back in the bed now. As long as DC is warm enough, why not??

If he is STTN and not bothering anyone I say let him.

My DD did this- in fact for a few weeks she started out on the floor. She had a sleeping bag and she slept well. But she grew out of it and I bet your DS will too. No harm in it IMO.

If they sleep on the floor, they can't fall out of bed.... Chat Icon Chat Icon

Sleep is a time to be comfortable and sleep... if that means being in a memory foam mattress, a floor, or a pile of LEGO blocks, then so be it.... everyone is different, and whatever works for him (within reason, of course), I wouldn't mess with.
