Should I let her cry??-sleep question

So since DD learned to roll, she's EVERYWHERE! I mean I put her in her crib in one position, by the time I get to the couch (4 steps away) she's across the crib, on her belly, smooshed against the side. She doesnt sit still.

Anyway, I put her down this morning for her nap. I laid her on her back. She immediately rolled onto her belly, then proceeded to whine then eventually cried. I turned her back over, she went right onto her belly then cried. This went on for about 30 mins where i gave up and let her nap in her swing.

I just put her down for her nap and again, right onto her belly and started crying.

Mind you she's been belly sleeping since 8 weeks old!
Usually for her naps i noticed she enjoys being on her side. But today she just will fully roll over and get upset.

Do I let her CIO since she's flipping to her belly?? I just stood there and rubbed her legs until she closed her eyes. She's on her side now but I tihnk its a little silly to have to stand there with her for all of her sleep time to prevent her from rolling and waking herself up.

What should I do??

she's almost 5.5 months

If you're comfortable with CIO, then yes, I'd let her CIO if she does that Chat Icon It's fine, I think... DS did the same thing sometimes, I am not running in there 85 times a night to turn him over Chat Icon especially when I knew he knew how to!

My DD is also 5.5 months and does this too! Last night she flipped in the middle of the night, so I flipped her back over and she went back to sleep thankfully. At nap time just now, I had to go in like 2-3 times to flip her back to her back. She just fell asleep and woke up like 10 min later. I went in and shes on her stomach, looking around, confused LOL. Flipped her back again and now hoping she wont flip on belly the rest of the nap. No real advice, other then flip them back I guess. DD is not a tummy sleeper so she is not happy when she does it in her sleep and finds herself on her belly.Chat Icon

I think if she's obviously not happy on her belly AND can't flip back over on her own - I would continue to flip her.

If you are ok with it..let her cry within reason. DD is 6 months and is all over the crib. Sometimes she cries and if I ignore it, she is asleep within minutes.
Sometimes I have to go in and sooth her..but never for long before she is asleep.

Re: Should I let her cry??-sleep question

Ok so i'm going to let her CIO a little bit tonight if this continues.
I put her down in the crib about 10 mins ago. She, of course, rolled right onto her belly and started whining. So i walked out.
i'm watching her on the monitor. She's literally doing laps around the crib. She must have rolled around about 15 times. She's not crying or anything so maybe all that exercise will wear her out!Chat Icon

She's FINALLY asleep!!

ugh that was rough. took her almost an hour of whining and crying Chat Icon
And what a shocker, she fell asleep on her bellyChat Icon

i hope she stays sleeping. I have the worst cold ever and I'd rather stay away from her as much as possible. I dont think i've ever washed/purelled my hands as much as I have the last 2 days lol
