Should I bring my own stroller to Disney?
I don't own a double stroller, but I can order one from Amazon for a $100...is it worth it? Some people say don't bother, just rent a double stroller in the park, but others say bring your own.
We're leaving this weekend (nothing like last minute shopping!) so I have to decide today.
p.s. DD = 3 1/2 yrs DS = 2 1/2 yrs

I wouldn't buy or even bring a double stroller. I would bring two umbrella strollers. Much lighter and easy to manage. Plus there may be times where you just take one and whoever needs it uses it while the other walks.

Re: Should I bring my own stroller to Disney?
We rented a double stroller from Magic Strollers .
It was AWESOME! It was a City Mini Double stroller. They delivered it to our hotel and picked it up from our hotel.
Best decision I ever made!
You can even bring your own umbrella strollers if you need them in the airport, then rent one of these for the parks.
I loved how far they recline if the kids want to take a nap and the shades are awesome to keep the sun out of their faces!

Definitely bring your own (or rent from one of the stroller rental services down there), the ones you can rent at the parks don't look very comfortable and you have to leave them at the park...so you have to wake up your kid if they are asleep in it when you're leaving.

Re: Should I bring my own stroller to Disney?
when i went with my sister and her boys the ones at the park were like hard plastic ones that dont recline and have no straps unless they updated them? we brought our own when we went we were glad to have the basket underneath and the ability to recline when someone got cranky

that is an excellent idea!
I would DEFINITELY do two single strollers, not a double. I went last year and it was so much better with two!

Re: Should I bring my own stroller to Disney?
I personally would never rent one from disney unless it was a last resort. It will run you almost as much as buying a decent double stroller (depending on how long you are there). Not only that but you can't take it out of the parks - so if your children are tired at the end of the night or they fall asleep they will have to walk or be carried. There is also no real storage room on those strollers so you will have to lug a bag if you plan to bring change of clothes, snacks or if you still need diapers b.c there will be no place to put them on the rental stroller. Also if your children want to take a nap while you are out they really can't do that in those strollers. DD#1 was 34.5 months on our last trip and she still took some naps in the stroller which she wouldn't have been able to do if we had the rental.
Another option which I would recommend if you don't need the stroller at the airport - is have you considered renting a real double (like a city mini) from one of the stroller rental companies (they recommend at least one of them over on Mousesavers.com)? It will probably be cheaper than using the ones at the disney parks- they deliver it to your hotel so you can use it outside of the parks, and they will pick it up when you are finished from bell services at your hotel at the end of your stay.

Definitely rent one from a stroller service. It costs a small fortune to rent one in the parks...
