Should I be worried? Please help!

i'm freaking out a little!

i came home to find my shih tzu (3 years old, 15 lbs if that makes a difference) with 4 pairs of my undies strewn about the room. now, i've know that as a puppy she liked to (gross, i know) grab my dirty undies... but these were 4 pairs of clean ones that she grabbed from my suitcase (i'm visiting my parents). 3 were completely intact, but it looks like part of one pair has been eaten.

is this cause for concern?

as a puppy, she ate a full pair of my undies which the vet found when she was being spayed (how emabarrasing, right?) and they said it was great that this wasn't left in there.

this time, it looks like it was only a small piece...

what should i do? i'm freaking out a little because she is my little baby and i love her so much and would never want anything to happen to her! bad enough that they recently found crystals in her urine which might indicate MORE bladder stones (she had them back in december but they resolved with a diet change) and possibly a portosystemic shunt (sorry if i butchered the spelling or name) in her liver - they need to run more tests on that. i've been so worried about that, and now she eats part of my undies and my stomach is in knots all over again.

please help!
thanks so much

I would monitor her stool for a day and see if it comes out. If not time to call the vet!Chat Icon Chat Icon

You should be ok if she pooped but just keep an eye on her for the rest of the day and see if she poops again.

Good advice - I agree. Make sure she poops again.
