I did, but I didn't force it. I started about 4 months.

I started puting my daughter in the sitting postion around 3 1/2 months. I didn't push it though. She was sitting on her own 5 days shy of 5 months old. She always wanted to be in the sitting position.

How did you practice this? I always put DD in a sitting position...and then she topples over. After I laugh hysterically...I pick her back up and try it again Chat Icon Chat Icon <mean mommy> <mean mommy>

We would sit her and hold her waist or we would put her in the middle of the boppy.

Sooner or later they use their own arms to hold themselves up-tripod, then sit upright when they get a bit stronger.

ETA: We used to laugh our coolies off too when she topples over, add me to the mean mommyChat Icon

I would get the bebe pod. I think that really helped Andrew build his stomach muscles.
