should i be concerned?

i start stimming with follistim and menopur on saturday (the 14th). the doctor doesn't want to see me until wednesday (the 18th). is it weird not to see a doctor during 4 days of stims??

Is this for IVF? I think the first time I went in was after 3 days, so not much of a difference. Have you ever used injectables before? If so, he may have a sense for how you'll respond (slowly) early.

yeah it's for ivf. i did injectable IUI cycles on a lower dose of follistim and responded pretty quickly, but i guess they want more follicles with an ivf cycle.

I went in after 3 days of stimming...They did reduce my meds because my estrogen was getting high.

This sounds like what I did. I did stims for 3 days and then went in for my first monitoring appt.

I stimmed between 3-4 days and then had a monitoring appointment. I think that is normal - before that there is not too much going on. Even at day 3/4, all they can tell me is I have a follicles growing, but they are all under 10mm. They also want to watch your estrogen level closely to prevent OHSS.
