Shot to ovulate

Hello -

I was wondering how mnay of you have done the shot to ovulate. I am on CD16 (I usually ovulate on CD17) and went in for an ultrasound today and the egg is mature and my lining is good but i have not had a surge (they did more bloodwork). So my dr said to come in tommorow and they will give me the shot to help bring th egg out. I am curious if i should wait a few days longer and see what happens..he says there is no harm in doing the shot. We did IVIG this month for our elevated nk's and dq match so the timing of ovulation and everything is important and is why i was worried that I had not moved up to bar 2 on my fertility monitor.

Go for the shot, if the follicle gets too big it's not good. It will reduce your chances.
The shot isn't going to hurt anything and will release the egg at the optimum time. Since everything else is good, I would have the HCG shot.

Definitely do the shot!! When I finally got pregnant with my DS it was with the shot!!! Good Luck!!!!

Thank you ladies..i just talked to the dr..i moved up to level 2 on my monitor today and wanted to see if i would surge on my own tommorow..the dr said to come in for the shot tommorow either way and it will only help everything along. Thanks again for your insight!!
