Shoes for new walkers...
Question...Riley is pretty much full-on walking now so i have her in those walking sneakers from Stride Rite
I know the recommendation is a certain type of sneaker when they're new to walking....please explain what exactly it is that they need, and could you tell me when it doesn't matter as much? Like when I can just pick up a cheap pair at Target? 
What kinds of shoes do you put your 'new' walkers in?

I've gotten only Stride Rite, but when I took him last week, I didn't love any of the styles, and found a Stride Rite pair on endless.com for $22 that I loved! So I am going to stick to Stride Rite, but shop around. If I can get them for $20-30, they really aren't too much more $$ than the cheap brands, and they seem like they are made so much better. But check out endless.com to compare prices once you know the size!

Jess, they say barefoot is always best when they begin to walk, so I always keep her either with socks on or barefoot. I only have shoes on her when she's out in public.

I try to keep Samantha barefoot in the house, but she is shoe obsessed and asks to put shoes on as soon as she wakes up....

We never did inside. He's always either barefoot or in socks inside.
