Sheds

Where do you recommend purchasing a shed? I'm looking to surprise DH for Father's Day/ 10th Anniversary! I'm looking for competitive pricing and reliability! TIA!

Re: Sheds

What kind of shed? Wood frame like a house, with siding and shingles? Metal shed? Plastic? How big does he need it? Just enough for a couple of tools? A riding mower? Tool bench and room to work?

Re: Sheds

DO NOT, I repeat NOT use Wood Kingdom East.
The one in Medford.
It took us almost a year and a lawsuit to get our shed.
They took our deposit and kept giving us the run around about when the shed would be delivered.
I almost had to get a lawyer, I disputed the charge through my CC company, it was a nightmare.
I hear the original Wood Kingdom in Farmingdale dissassociated themself from Wood Kingdom East for this very reason.
The BBB has sooo many complaints against them- all for the same thing. Taking the deposit and not delivering the product for months and months more than promised.
NIGHTMARE!

Re: Sheds

Wow!! Thanks for the warning. I had no idea!

Thanks for your suggestions everyone! I ended up going to Gera Gardens in Mt. Sinai. It is so close to my house, and the price was right. Customer service was exceptional! I highly recommend them. Oh! And they also have a $100 shed coupon in Valpak! Chat Icon

Re: Sheds

I bought one of the Home Depot sheds from Sheds USA I believe. I was pleasantly surprised. They are very reasonably price, you basically get what you pay for at the store with no hidden fees. And it does the job.

I'd buy another one if need be. I wish i could have matched the dark brown siding of my house, but i instead went with a light tan for the shed so its more two tone which isn't bad.

This! I also had to dispute the charge with my cc company and threatened to sue. Finally got my shed and the installer, who has known owner Frank for many years, was telling me nightmare stories. If you want to use wood kingdom go to the one in Farmingdale, they are no longer affiliated with the one in Coram.
