Shedding? Havanese

I have a 1 year, 1 month old Havanese pup. Lately we have been noticing black fur on our carpet. It's not a lot, but I thought Havanese do not shed? Should I be worried about a skin condition. He's been groomed and to the vet regularly and no one ever mentioned anything.

Do you brush him daily? Dead hairs need to be removed daily, just like humans. If you are brushing daily and you still notice an excessive amount of hair around, you may want to consult the vet.

my dog is a havanese and shih tzu. neither breed is supposed to "shed" but i do see his hair on my clothes or furniture sometimes. but i also see my hair floating around as well and i dont shed. LOL. but hair does fall out of my head and dogs as well. is it ALOT of fur? like as much as it would be if u had a lab? then i woudl ask vet

I have 3 Havs and the way I always describe it is that their hair falls out like a person's hair would. Once in awhile, I'll find hair on the steps, the couch, etc but it's a piece here or a piece there, kind of like my own hair. NOTHING like other dogs that shed.

If you are seeing excessive hair, call the vet.
