Sharing baby's gender after level II
How did you/will you tell your families? We're (hopefully) finding out on Tuesday. I don't want to just call them. I would like to make it special. I would love some ideas.

What if you bought them a picture frame or something that was gender specific like granddaughter/nephew etc?

That sounds like a cute idea!! I told my co-workers that I would wear the appropriate color the day after...pink or blue!
Not sure how I will tell my parents as they live out of state.

we find out on the 7th... on the 9th we have a fmaily party for dh's grandfathers birthday we will tell everyone before that but we are giving him a large glass canister of either pink or blue m&m's and this way everyone can eat for dessert at the restaurant

With DD we totally had our parents going we weren't going to find out the sex.
Well we found out on Dec 9th, and for xmas we wrapped up bibs for each of them that said "Thank heaven for little girls"
THEY WEnT NUTS!!! Especially since they both really really wanted a granddaughter. The literally SCREAMED!
It was great!

what about doing a color themed dinner? or dessert?
like for a girl...something cherry or strawberry
and for a boy something blueberry
or doing an ornament from the baby to the grandparents with the appropriate color/grandson/granddaughter written on it?

At the level II, we had the technician write it down for us and put it in an envelope. We went out to dinner with our family that night and opened it there and we all found out together. It was a lot of fun

We didn't find out with our 1st, but we did with our 2nd. I had to bring a cake for Easter and I had the bakery write "It's a Boy!" on it.
