sharing a bedroom??
My DC is 16 months old and we are expecting number 2! They will be exactly 2 years apart.
we have a 3 bedroom house. should my kids share a room? would they wake each other up?
we would like to keep one room as an office but it is not a necessity so we could have them have separate rooms.
just looking for some feedback
TIA

I personally would want them each in their own room - but you should do whatever is best for your family - and the needs in your house.

Re: sharing a bedroom??
My girls are 19 months apart and have been sharing a room from day 1. It was rough in the beginning, but I think they've both turned into beter sleepers because of it. By the time my little one was about 5 months old, they would both sleep through if the other woke up. They love being together and in the morning when they wake up, I have about a half hour to an hour of them entertaining each other and talking and singing to each other before I have to go in their room. We do have 3 bedrooms, but since they were so close in age and both girls, we decided that sharing a room was the best for us and them.

Re: sharing a bedroom??
My oldest is a girl. My youngest is a boy with 3 and a half years between them. The share a room and will until DD is about 7. At that point she will move upstairs to the big bedroom and he will still in the smaller bedroom. I love having them in a room together and they love it also. He has only woken her up a handful of times. I would definitely suggest it unless you have a huge span of years.

Re: sharing a bedroom??
My DD's are exactly 2 yrs apart and will be sharing a room. We have a extra bedroom up stairs but I am not comfortable having my 2 yr old up there alone. We are downstairs. The 3 week old will probably stay in our room a little longer then I had my older daughter will us but I dont want them waking each other up. When the baby is completely sleeping through the night she will go into the room with her sister.

Re: sharing a bedroom??
I have 3 bedrooms and twins. The two bedrooms i do not occupy are very differnt sizes. one is huge and one is tiny. the tiny one is a play room and the twins share a room. they are 14.5 months. they have only just started to wake each other up. I think their own room would be better but my husband really thnks they should be together. We are planning to move and when we do we will stillprobaly keep them together until they ask to be seperated. its annoying someitmes with them distrubing each other but othwise they giggle together and comfort each other and its nice. they never knew any differnt since before they were even born.

We have a 3br also. They will not share a room because they are . If they were both boys I was going to put them together in the master bedroom.

Re: sharing a bedroom??
My sons are 22 months apart and "share" a room. The quotes are there since DS#2 is still in our bedroom in the portacrib since I am scared of them waking each other up in the middle of the night.
Honestly--going thru it---I wish I had another bedroom and I would keep them separate if I could.
