Where do you go apple and/or pumpkin picking and share what you like about it (pics are always welcome)
We have always gone to wickhems but would like to try a new place especially now with DS

OMG we used to go there as kids and I have always wanted to start that tradition with my kids  Last year we thought DS was too little and well this year I guess won't happen either. But def next year lol

we go out east to Harbes family farm for pumpkins and apples I think is lewins, I never remember the name.. I remember I used to go to some farm in connecticut that was good but that was a long time ago and I don't remember the name

We go there too - it's gotten very crowded in recent years. They have a lovely orchard, pumpkin patch (they're off the vine, already picked, just spread out), live music/an emcee doing trivia, face painting, a cute little store, and the most amazing apple cider donuts. DH and I have always thought it'd be great for when we have kids and will likely go this year even though DD's too young to enjoy most of the festivities. It's closer than Woodbury Commons, but not by much and it's an hour-ish w/out traffic from midtown Manhattan - not sure about Nassau since you have go from Queens to the Bronx and then up, but traffic near the Tappan Zee can make it a really long trip. DH and I used to always go to Woodbury afterwards and do some fun shopping, even start Christmas shopping. We always had so much fun - I can't wait to do it this year with Lucy!

We're going to try Lewin Farms for apple picking this year and maybe Harbes or Stakey's for pumpkin picking.

wading river exit 59 on sunrise hwy...we go to all different places, lewins farms to name one, there are signs to follow you can also go to their website for directions.

We go to The Milk Pail out in Watermill for apples and Rottkamps in Wading River for pumpkins
