Shame on me- I let my Brother do this to me every time!
so now I have to pick my brother and his FW up at JFK 10am on thanksgiving- smack in the middle of the time I planned on cooking my sidedishes
and then drive him to long beach on friday
he does this too me everytime- it's so annoying
Jake is going to kill me- KILL ME
(Jake is not a fan of my brother)

You can't ask someone who isn't cooking to do it for you? Or, for him rather?
That's a PITA trip, especially when you've got better things to do. If you've done it before, I say it's someone else's turn. Or it will become your job. 
I've got a brother like that too. Sorry!

there really is no one else- my sister is sending the holiday with her BF and my Dad isn't coming
the annoying thing is I have to listen to him about "how much money he makes"
but it's not enough to rent a car or take a cab!

I would call him and tell you can't to take a car service - tell him your hands are going to be full with the Thanksgiving meal you are cooking for him

Oh man, if that was the case, I'd give him the name and number of a nice car service!! 
Family is family but my brother takes advantage of everyone, every chance he can get. So I'd have no qualms about this. Especially if he made a lot of $ and he was putting me out, expecting this!
Who came up with this idea anyway? Not you, obviously.

his idea- it started out as just friday to long beach
then tonight he asks for the air port pick up
he takes advantage of my Dad all the time and me when he is in town
he doesn't have any money- he is such a liar- my Dad paid his rent for 2 years

I thought my brother would grow out of that, the older he got. He's in his 40's and is still that way. Still dependant on my parents, even.
I take that attitude that only I can allow him to take advantage of me. And I decide whether to let him or not.
Good luck with what you decide! If he's staying with you, put him to work!

he's never going to change
he is not staying with me- I said no to that! I only have 1 bedroom and Jake isn't crazy about my brother
and it's jake's house also
my brother thinks he should come here and have a free place to stay and a car to use
well- news flash my Dad sold the house- and gave you ( my brother) the extra car- that they drive down in Florida

Beth I live not too far from you. We use Skyway car service to the airport (718) 591-7000. It cost us $20.00 during rush hour to JFK.
Even if it is a bit more and I had to pay for it, it would be worth it to me to not have to leave the house while trying to get dinner ready.

There's no drama like family drama-- UGH I can SO relate... some things that they can do or say really make you wanna go I'm so sorry!! I don't know what to suggest-- Try to be honest and tell him you are overwhelmed as it is-- does he think he can take a service?

I just emailed him and told him the weather doesn't look good tomorrow and i don't have time to get stuck at JFK waiting for them- that they can either take a cab- or I will arrange a car for them
JFK in the rain on thanksgiving- is alot to ask of anyone
I am already driving him from bayside to long beach on black friday- that's enough
I don't have vacation days yet- so I need to make the most of these holiday weekends

Good point about the rain, I didn't realize. Plus you can't park at the gate, you'd have to circle, and his flight might be late too.

from my Dad- I forwarded him the email- by the way - my Dad lives in Jupiter and my brother lives in Delray- my dad has to pass the airport to pick up my brother then drive him back- I told my Dad to tell him to take a cab!
It's not mean...it's a short ride to Grandma's from the airport..I'll be seeing him tonight...guess who's taking him to the airport tomorrow?

I just called - it's $22 - he is taking the car service!
sorry but my car will use $10 worth of gas circling JFK at least! it's really not worth my time and gas to come get him when he can take a cab for $22!

he has a job, a townhouse and money for a puppy- and to board the puppy while he comes up here!
he takes advantage all the time- Jake wants me to put my foot down b/c it will never stop- so I did!
