Shakira is Pregnant - due in January
Crossover Colombian pop sensation Shakira is reportedly expected to deliver her first child, a boy, via C-section in January, according to an exclusive report in HuffPost Voices.
According to the report, she and boyfriend Spanish soccer player, Gerard Pique, have stayed mum on the pregnancy out of fear of what could go wrong. Shakira is supposedly suffering form a condition called toxoplasmosis which puts her pregnancy at severe risk.
Toxoplasmosis is a blood infection caused by the parasite Toxoplasma gondii, one of the most common parasites found around the world. Primarily an infection found in felines, toxoplasmosis can also be transmitted to birds, humans and many other mammals. It is spread through oral ingestion of the parasite or less commonly through blood transfusions and organ transplants.
Shakira has been under the care of renowned doctor, Víctor Gonzalez-Quinteros, according to reports. Rumors have been circulating about the singer expecting a baby boy, however an insider states the gender of the baby has not yet been determined.
She may pull a Evangeline Lily or Jennifer Hudson, named for the two high-profile stars who managed to keep their pregnancies mum until close to delivery. This spring, we learned that singer-songwriter Adele was 6 months along and is due early fall. She managed to keep her news under wraps for two trimesters.

Yes could be from a cat- that is why you aren't supposed to change your cat's liter when you are pregnant.
Fortuneatly for me, my DH took it over while I was pregnant for that very reason, and here we are 2 years later and he is still doing it out of habit.
