Shades/blinds...a black sheet?

I have "room darkening" blinds from home depot and they really don't do much as far as making the room darker.

Ive noticed DD is waking up earlier on the weekends and I think it is from the light. Also, she goes to bed early (630/7) and Id like to make the room darker

Anyone have a suggestion?

We have Eclipse curtains in DS's room. They work very well for us. You can get them at BBB, Target or Walmart.

we just ordered a thermal, black out cordless roman shade from budget blinds. The room is totally black...you would never know that the sun comes up ever...you more than likely don't want to know the price though...I even had to keep it a secret from the hubby!Chat Icon

I have a black out blind (really pleated shades) from Blinds To Go. We bought 2 for $200. The windows are average size and its dark as night in there.

A black sheet didn't work for us for DH (not the child. lol)

We actually found a black wool blanket worked thebest for us

I bought black out panels from walmart, and hang them over the curtain rod (over his nice curtains). They keep out most of the light, although I would love it to be darker in there for him.

We just got room darkening shades from blinds to go and they are great! her room is almost pitch black all day and the sun shines directly in one of her windows!

Just read FranB's post.....sounds just like what we have and that was about the cost
