Re: Sex
I don't think it's weird. I think you are being very cautious. Having a m/c can be a very tramatic. Especially if they do not know the reason for it. I'm sure you know deep down that having sex was not the cause of it. You might want to talk to your doctor about your fears. There are so many women who go on to have healthy babies after a m/c. I'm sure this time you will be fine. YOu are almost out of your 1st Trimester!! I'm 10.5 weeks too!!!

Re: Sex
I don't think you are weird at all. I think you're being understandably cautious. Although I haven't abstained completely, I'm definitely not as active as I used to be, for fear of something bad happening too.

Re: Sex
Awh, don't worry. I never had a m/c but we still haven't had sex since we found out! He's being so supportive too. Be grateful for having a loving spouse and I would say at 12 weeks, go ahead if you want!!!

Re: Sex
I don't think it is weird at all -- a lot of people get nervous about that.
I was nervous at first when I was pregnant too so I would just cuddle with my DH so that we could be really close together. It was such a special time and I still wanted to have that close feeling with him...
And then little by little after reading in so many books that it was safe and asking my Dr about it I became more comfortable with it. But definately take your time and remember that it is perfectly normal to be nervous about it.

Re: Sex
You are not weird for feeling that way.
My doctor told us no sex for the first 8 weeks but then again I'm high risk, pg with twins and had to go through IVF to get pregnant.
After that she said we could and there might be a little bit of blood but not to worry. Ummm, yeah, right I don't think so we invested a lot of time, money and emotions into this pregnancy and well, we've been holding off. The blood thing scared me way too much.
To tell you the truth, I'm exhausted and not much in the mood anyway.

Re: Sex
We have had it less often, but we still do.. but I am tired, and puking is definitely no aphrodisiac for me
However, DH, typical guy, wouldnt care if I was covered in puke....

Re: Sex
Dh is the one that hasn't wanted to- first since he thought it could hurt the baby and now being pregnant totally kills his libido. I wish I could say the same
